My thoughts about this unit
I never thought there was so much to a spreadsheet until we did this unit. At school all I did with spreadsheets was add, subtract, multiply and divide. Here I got to learn about pivot tables, if statements and Vlookups – and that is just to start.
So, spreadsheets are about maths but they are about much more than that. In this unit the first thing we had to do was to find out the uses of spreadsheets and what things they can do for us. I was a bit surprised at how much they can actually do, to help people become more productive in the workplace.
Below is my presentation for assignment 2. We were given some spreadsheets and had to choose two of them to look at in detail. I had to describe the features that were being used so there was a lot of investigation.
